Week 52

Well, it’s week 52 of 2008 and it’s been a few days since my last blog. I know I need a little more discipline in this new area I crammed into my life called blogging.  Anyway, I just want to say that I appreciate the comment made by my friend Cody Jensen.  I have to say that I feel the exact same way he does about this whole project coming together.  As each piece of the puzzle starts to come together I can see the picture and what everything is supposed to look like.  I really am excited about getting this CD done but also know that it isn’t going to see success over night and that actually scares me…a lot!  It’s nerve racking wondering if anyone will like my music, let alone me or if I can even support my family living my dream. I guess that makes trust a precious commodity when it comes to God.  I do trust Him but it’s scary yet exciting at the same time.  Now the year is coming to a close and it’s been full of changes for me and my family.  We left good friends in New Mexico, moved to Oklahoma and started a new job, became a college pastor for the first time ever, my son started kindergarten and I coached his soccer team full of five year olds (which is another blog topic altogether) and we are remodeling a house that we bought too.  It’s been chaos for the last few months but I wouldn’t change it for the world!  Looking back at everything that happened in 2008, I have to say I am blessed and thankful for everything God has done for me and my family.  I am excited to see what changes are going to take place in our lives as a family this next year because hopefully in week 52 of 2009 I will be blogging about the success of this project and how God used the dream he gave me to touch many lives for Him! Catch ya on the flipside of ‘09!
