Inspiration!!
So, I’ve been trying really hard the last couple of weeks to finish writing the songs that will somehow bring an end to my recording endeavors and begin a new era in my career and life altogether. That’s why I haven’t posted anything in a couple of weeks; lame excuse, I know. However, I finally have a little glimmer of inspiration but I just can’t seem to find the time to get alone and hammer out some ideas that are imprisoned in my skull. Anyway, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I’m excited about it. Hopefully I will be able to finish soon and get back in the studio and lay down the tracks on the last four tunes. I am so anxious to get it all done and release the album. I’m inspired now to try and find the right distribution and marketing company for me and the situation I’m in now. I wouldn’t even mind signing to a smaller label similar to the one that Starlit Platoon signed with recently. (congratulations, guys!) Another source of inspiration as well; and if you’re interested, I was given a book that I’ve finished reading called, So You Don’t Want To Go To Church Any More. This book has been, yet another, source of inspiration and I will probably blog a little about it soon. I really liked it! The person who gave it to me owns Ruth’s Christian Bookstores. I guess inspiration comes from anywhere and everywhere. You can never limit it to one thing or think that it comes one way. Inspiration is like oxygen. If there isn’t any you won’t survive!
